I am a clinical researcher about to finish my PhD in Radibiology in UK with the project on Quantitative MRI radiomic texture analysis in pediatric brain tumours. I am a Dento-maxillofacial radiologist by background with experience in image processing. Registration, ROI anaylsis, texture analysis, etc.
Thanks for sharing your experience with the community. Are there any freely available software applications that you use in you radiomics research? We are always looking to add new packages to the software database : Software - imaging QA
If you can share any recommendations, it would be really great!
Thank you for your reply.
LifeX is a good software which is freely available and very user friendly.
Other excellent software is pyradiomics. It can be used in python or plug and play extension of 3d slicer software.
There are MATLAB packages available for texture analysis.
Hope this helps. Thank you.
Thanks for those great recommendations! We will work on adding LifeX to the database.
Since you have used them, and if you’re happy to, it would be incredibly helpful to growing the community if you could spare 5 minutes to comment / rate Pyradiomics and 3D slicer. This can be done by replying to the discussions below and selecting a star rating ( out of 5 ) and adding a short (or long) comment.
