'Not enough scans in session' error message in SPM 12

Hey everyone,

I’m running a first level analysis using SPM12 in Batch Editor but I get this error at the fMRI model specification:

if SPM.nscan(i) == 1
error(‘Not enough scans in session %d.’,i);
end

There are 684 volumes in total but the scans are split into 3 files. Has anyone experienced this before or does someone know how to get around this error?

Thank you for your help in advance.

Best,

Rubina

Hi Rubina,
I’m not an SPM expert, but I did notice that there are a couple of posts on the SPM mailing list where people have had the same issue - seems like SPM by default only reads the first volume of a 4D nifti file. Maybe these answers will help?

Hi Matt,

Thank you for your reply.

I did come across those websites but I’ll take a closer look at it again.

Best,
